A Canadian Success Story
Founded in 1967 by Irving Lubin, Elran was the first Canadian company to specialize in reclining furniture. Until 1979, Elran manufactured only one type of product, the reclining chair. 1980 marked a very important year for Elran when it became the first company to introduce reclining loveseats and sofas on the market. Today, Elran is a leader in the industry and offers a complete range of reclining chairs, loveseats, sofas and many other options. With over 150 collections of various styles – traditional, transitional and contemporary – available in more than 550 fabrics and leathers.

The 235,000 square foot production facility is located in Montreal. With over 500 employees, Elran strikes a careful balance between advanced automation and skilled craftsmanship. Each step of the production process, from design, to prototype testing, to final assembly employs a meticulous step-by-step verification system to maintain rigorous quality control standards.

Elran’s gravity fed, reclining mechanism uses superior, construction grade spruce plywood resistant to warping or cracking, and high density, pre-crushed foam to ensure consistency, endurance and comfort.
